March 6, 12:45pm
We've released an iOS update that addresses this issue. Thank you for your patience.

March 6, 10:30am
Our development team has identified an issue with which end-of-shift receipts are printing, and will be issuing a hotfix within the next 2 hours. This does not affect your reports in any way.

Feature updates - float counter, inventory UI, and viewing POS product details

POS - End of shift cash counter

When you now end a shift, you'll be presented with a new screen where you can optionally count your final float. If this is not a process you want to complete at this time, then selecting "Count later" will let you skip.

Inventory - See more information at once

We've made it easier to see all your inventory information at once - click the inventory quantities as before, and get access to quantity, lot numbers, and inventory logs.

POS - See product THC, CBD, and details

Press-and-hold a product on your iOS POS to see a detailed popup with your product information, including THC and CBD levels.

Min/max THC and CBD fields

A long requested feature, min/max THC and CBD fields, has been released! Here's a rundown of the functionalities that are supported:

  • Choose between single values (default) or range values
  • Select % or mg for units
  • Add custom fields (on-sale, favorites, etc.) for third-party API integrations to use

Feature removal

For products with variants, the parent THC/CBD fields have been removed. It was only used for external menu purposes (ex. Leafly), but now Greenline will automatically calculate the average values across all your variants and pass them on, meaning there's less for you to type.

Introducing the Greenline POS Referral Program!

Hello Greenliners! If you refer a fellow retail cannabis store operator to our system we will send you $500 once they pay their first invoice (just make sure they are clear who referred them in their demo signup or when they request an invoice). No fine print... it's as easy as that!

BC ASN uploads re-introduced

We've brought back the BC ASN (.xml file) uploads! Speed up your purchase order creation process by clicking "Import" when editing a purchase order, then selecting the "Import from your provincial wholesaler" upload option.

If you are not part of the BCLDB's ASN program, don't worry. They have confirmed that the pilot program will be over and that all stores will be automatically enrolled in the near future.

Bottle deposits

Alberta requires cannabis beverage products to charge un-taxed bottle deposit fees. We've released an update to support this fee on the POS.

Key points:

  • Please update your iOS app
  • Check with the AGLC to determine what each product's deposit fees should be
  • Deposit fees are added per-product

When editing a product, clicking "Add deposit fee" will bring up an input field where you can enter your bottle deposit fees.

On the POS, the un-taxed deposit fee will be applied automatically and show up on your receipts.

In a future update, the deposit fees will be shown on your financial reports.

Reporting improvements

Financials reports

The following new columns have been added:

  • Taxes (broken down by individual tax)
  • Gift card sales
  • Penny adjustments
  • Total
  • Cost
  • Profit

We understand that users have had to piece together values from different reports to get the following information all in one export. This report brings in all remaining fields into the general financials report. This also means that the old "Growth" report will be getting phased out this coming February.

Products/categories on-hand reports

The following have been added:

  • Date filters (view your historical inventory quantities)
  • Costs now use historical costs. For example, if your cost is currently $10, but it was $8 in December, your December on-hand costs will be calculated at $8.
  • Retail values are based on current prices

Purchase order reports

Previously, the reports only broke down the top 30 products purchased. The limit has been lifted, meaning that you can now export a report of all products and the amount purchased.

We hope this quality-of-life improvements can improve your day-to-day reporting tasks. Please leave a note down below with further improvements you'd like to see.
