A new purchase order experience

New UI

Over the past several months, the Greenline team has been hard at work improving our purchase ordering experience. We wanted the UI to feel faster, more intuitive, and more informative.

If you do not see the changes yet, please refresh your page.

Better product selectors

Previously, users could only see the product name when searching for products to add. Our new UI will now show the image, SKU, and barcode to help you distinguish between similarly-named products.

Historical costs

You can now view your historical costs by pressing the clock icon next to "Cost per unit. Clicking it will show all previous purchase orders with the product, the quantity, and the cost per unit it was purchased at.

Dutchie delivery automatic order sync

Dutchie will be enabling delivery order syncing tomorrow (June 2, 2019) at 9am EST. What does this mean for your operations?

1. When a pre-paid Dutchie delivery order is made, you do not need to manually create the orders in Greenline. The sale will already be in your system and inventory will be removed.

2. The orders will show up automatically on your Dashboard. You can set their delivery statuses under Dashboard > Parked Sales.

You can learn more about Dutchie order syncing here.

Dutchie - Prepaid orders now live

For the past month, orders coming from Dutchie have shown up on the POS parked sale list and required budtenders to manually turn them into sales. We've been hard at work to remove the manual process.

Now, sales will be created and inventory removed automatically.

1. A customer places a Dutchie order and pays for it with a credit card.
2. The sale will be automatically created on Greenline and inventory removed.
3. There will be a parked sale entry visible ONLY from the dashboard so that your staff can mark it as "completed".
4. Only unpaid orders will show up on the iPad POS parked sales list.

Parked sale barcode validation, integration permissions, and more

Parked sale barcode validation

Stores using our parked sales feature have mentioned that they would like to use POS barcode scanners to verify that the right products have been delivered from the back. We've recently released a feature to do just that! Learn more about parked sale barcode validation here.

Parked sales - See source

Your parked sales can come from Greenline or any variety of partner integrations. Now, your Dashboard parked sales list (enable it here) will show you where it came from, as well as your sales list.

Parked sales - Customer name quick input

Do you want to attach a name to a parked sale, but not make an entire customer profile every time? Now when you create a parked sale without a customer, Greenline will give you an option to quickly add a customer name only (similar to the Starbucks model).

"Can manage integrations" permission

At Greenline, we are focusing heavily on click-and-collect integrations to help stores through a time when foot traffic may be forced to be reduced. To control your store's integrations better, we've added a new "Can manage integrations" permission.

Bug fixes

  • Number of sales/average cart reports are no longer delayed
  • When a credit card payment fails, the cart is no longer cleared

Stay safe, stay healthy, and we will all get through the COVID-19 pandemic together.

🦠 How is your store planning for COVID-19?

As the pandemic ramps up in Canada, the Greenline team is making plans to see how we can best help stores.

  • What are you most concerned about?
  • What are your employees most concerned about?
  • How have your store operations changed?
  • If you could send a message to the cannabis industry, what would you say?
  • If you could send a message to the federal government, what would you say?

BC announces click-and-collect for retailers

The BCLDB passed regulations to allow stores to implement click-and-collect solutions. During the COVID-19 crisis, many cannabis retailers are looking for alternatives to serve customers while protecting employees, so the team at Greenline recommends exploring this omni-channel approach.

Greenline recommends Dutchie for:

  • Embedding menus on your website
  • Letting customers order online
  • Seamless parked order management
  • Pay and pick-up in-store

You can view your incoming orders by enabling Dashboard > Settings > Inventory > Parked sale management, then clicking the "Sales > Parked sales" menu option.
