👋 April 3, 2021 product updates

Feature releases

  • Automatic discount sale prices are now sent to integrators over the API. It may take a few weeks for key integrators such as Buddi, Dutchie, and Budvue to pick them up. Once fully integrated, stores shouldn't have to duplicate their automatic discounts on multiple platforms anymore.

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where creating a parked sale and minimizing it (on browser POS) can create a duplicate entry.
  • Fixed a bug where exporting the financial overview on the summary report sometimes didn't export all tax lines.
  • Fixed a bug where online orders from Buddi were not being sent to Headset.
  • Fixed a bug where some provincial product imports came with hidden space characters, preventing saving to our database.

👋 April 3, 2021 product updates

Feature releases

  • Updated cart discount exclusion rules: Previously, excluding a product in a cart discount meant that the discount could not be added if that product was in the cart. Now, cart discounts can be added regardless of cart contents, but excluded products simply won't be discounted.
    • This will allow stores to sell pseudo-bundled discounts by applying cart discounts to some products but not others.
    • Read more about our updated discounts here
  • New stores can click a button to quickly add default categories to their accounts
  • Quickbooks accounts can now be disconnected from Greenline accounts without contacting support
  • Inventory log performance improvements

Bugs

  • Various template changes for BC/AB/ON purchase orders and provincial product catalogs
  • Fixed an issue where receipt printers may occasionally print blank receipts depending on iPad memory usage
  • Discounts over 100% cannot be applied

Alberta Purchase Order Imports

The AGLC has changed the format for its email order confirmations, which has rendered the PO Import feature unusable.

Our developers are working as quickly as they can to resolve this issue.

For now, please manually add your products to your purchase orders.

Alternately, you can download the .csv template and use that function but note that you will still need to add the lot number to each product in the PO itself.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to making the necessary corrections to get this feature up and running again. We appreciate your patience.

👋 Mar 16, 2021 product updates

Feature releases

  • Gift cards (via Birchmount) released! Users no longer need to use Merrco + Datacandy to provide gift card services. To use this beta feature, sign up here and learn how to set it up in Greenline here.
  • Can't edit purchase order quantities past 1 month to reduce potential human compliance errors.

Bugs

  • Bug fix: Copy/pasting ON compliance reports no longer have date formatting issues
  • Bug fix: Manitoba Fed report now uses prices from the time of sale instead of current product retail prices
  • Bug fix: Financial report Y axis display no longer cuts off sometimes

QuickBooks integration halted (update)

Edit: Our integration is functional. However, we are hearing reports about some of our customers being kicked off their platform, so we advise stores to anticipate potential issues.

QuickBooks Online has unfortunately taken a stance against the cannabis industry and has shut down our integration.

We’re trying to collaborate with them to get this resolved, but users who rely on the journal entry syncing must enter them manually.

👋 Mar 2, 2021 product updates

Feature releases

  • New Ontario compliance reporting formats

Bugs

  • Fixed inconsistent text sizes on iPad Mini and iPad Air receipts
  • If an audit has a counted value of 0, show the dollar value difference instead of "-"

Issues we're aware of

  • The OCS stopped providing net cannabis weights for the majority of the cannabis product catalogs. This may result in empty product weights for freshly imported items. Please double check your weights and enter them manually if needed.

Updated Ontario compliance reports (for Mar 2021)

Earlier this month, the Ontario government announced compliance reporting changes for cannabis retailers. The team at Greenline jumped on it right away, and we're proud to release the updates to our customers before the end of the month.

When you generate your ON compliance reports, you'll see an updated screen to download the new formats. Download each report by clicking the green buttons.

For more information, we've put together an in-depth guide on all the changes and what to expect:

Hotfix: Intermittent blank receipts

In the works
