Reporting updates

An update was made to how the sales reports display Total sales. For stores based in countries where taxes are not included sales amounts (like in the United States or Canada), this change has no affect. For Stores where taxes are included in sales amounts (such as VAT), Total sales reports have been updated to reflect the proper amounts.

New reports added

Two new reports have been added for tracking Total items sold and Average sales by customer.

We've also added new columns to the Sales breakdown tables to include "Average items per Order", "Average orders per customer" and "Distinct customers".

Fixed Product page links

Due to a recent change to Shopify's user interface caused HTML links to break.

Product page links have been updated to open a new tab in the browser and instead of hyperlinking the full product name, an icon has been added after each Product name to allow you to visit the Product page in the Shopify Admin section.

Fix: "Returns" amount now capture all refunds/returns

A bug with how Returns were calculated caused reports to display an inflated Total sales number. Total sales now captures Returns made on any given day for the trailing 90 days. This change affects all reports that surface Total sales.

Export as CSV and Sales by shipping destination

Some reports have been updated to allow for exporting as CSV. Look for the “Export as CSV” icon at the top of the Report detail page, like so:

Also, the Sales by shipping destination report now groups shipping destinations by zipcode rather than city to give a more granular view of the data.

Sales by shipping destination

A new report has been added to display sales by shipping destination. This allows Shop owners to better understand where their orders are being shipped.

Marketing reports

Three new reports have been added to the Overview dashboard to show Total sales by marketing campaign, medium and source. This is the first set of reports to help you understand the ROI on different marketing investments.
