When you spend in a foreign currency, a few banks such as Monzo and Starling add the GBP amount to your feed instantly, which we push to YNAB right away.
This is great, but a problem comes when these transactions “settle” a few days later, and the conversion rate can change. This will result in your YNAB being out of sync with your bank account.
To address this, we are now updating historical transactions when the amounts change at your bank. When we do this, we unapprove the transaction in YNAB for you to review again, and we also append “(updated)” to the end of the memo.
Note: This does not work with Starling or Monzo webhooks as they do not send us “updated” webhooks.
Also note: This will only change none reconciled transactions.
TrueLayer have pushed a fix to help with the disconnection issues we were facing with some Barclays Open Banking connections.
You can now setup MBNA and Virgin Credit Cards without requesting beta access.
These banks are still in beta, so please let us know if you have any issues.
If there is an open banking connection available for your select bank, we will now give you the option to use it.
We still default to credential sharing for a few banks due to the following reasons:
We have just rolled out beta support for Nordea Bank in Denmark. Reach out via support to have this enabled on your account.
We have just rolled out beta support for over 3000 banks in Germany. Reach out via support to have this enabled on your account.
We have just rolled out beta support for Virgin Bank Credit Cards in the UK. Reach out via support to have this enabled on your account.

Sometime banks require user input to carry on using the connections we have available. For example, with Open Banking, you are required to reconnect every 90 days.
Previously, we removed your connections, and emailed you asking to create them again.
Now, all you need to do is click “Reconnect”, so there is no need to setup everything again.
