Administration console new look

Not much to say about this; we've made some UI changes that will make you smile :)

Manage script per site

To allow our customers to manage the scripts and perform QA in a more flexible environment, it is now possible to set different script policies per site.

The recommendations will be displayed for each script and the site's it was detected in. You can confirm our recommendation for multiple sites by clicking on the 'Include all relevant sites' link or select a specific site from the drop-down. Your approval will reflect all the sites you've selected.

Search By Site Name

The site name dropbox allows you to choose the website you want to review in the dashboard. To increase the usability of this in accounts with multiple websites, we have added a search option in the dropdown.

Default Website

We've created a new feature that saves your favorite website for your next visit to the Admin console. Simply choose the website you would always want to see when you log in, and check the 'default site' checkbox. This website will be your dashboard starting page from now on.

Bug Fixes

Audit logs - fixed an issue that caused the sorting to malfunction after changing the date range.

Dashboard - fixed an issue that caused some of the widget to appear empty after a refresh was made.

Dashboard- fixed an issue with the request map that sometimes did not update based on filter updates

Update to the Security Policies & New Integration Methods

Source Defense is happy to release an updated administration admin version which includes security policy enhancements, logic changes, and adjustments, support for the latest SSO standards, an updated API, and various bug fixes and improvements.

Security policies enhancements

Keylogging

While keylogging prevention by 3rd parties is important, we understand that there might be a need to allow a 3rd party access to keystrokes events. This release introduces control over the Keylogging behavior of the Source Defense security platform, allowing to choose per policy level whether or not to "listen" to keystrokes, receive only redacted data (*) or full data.

The default setting for this feature will be redaction, this will allow a 3rd party to know a key was pressed, but will always report "*" as the key pressed.

New security policy - "Low"

Following feedback received from users, we decided that some of the logic under the "Vendors and Scripts" area might create confusion and therefore should be adjusted.

The update introduces the new "Security policy" field which replaces the combination of "Security level" and "Action" which might have caused confusion.

The action formally called "Run directly on browser" will now run under the new security policy - "Low". The "Low" policy will allow the script on the page while managing any 4th party introduced by it.
This policy will mainly be used for analytics platforms, and page manipulation scripts such as page optimization and form autocomplete services.

SAML 2.0 support

We are happy to announce SAML 2.0 is now supported for SSO integration in an easy and streamline way following by an easy, step by step guide.

API 2.0

A new and comprehensive API is now available, allowing queries for all data available in the administration dashboard including policy violation data, and new policy recommendations pending approval.

Audit log

The audit log section was updated and will now include a clear display of changes, highlighting new VS old values, making it cleared and simpler to understand.

Recommended policies indicator

Recommended policies:

Each third-party on your website has a policy recommendations which was tested by the Source Defense third-party data matter experts. These policy recommendations are meant to show the strictest policy possible for a script without causing it to fail or damage your web pages.
Since it is possible for users to change these policies, risking third-party malfunctions or security risks from policies that are too loose, an indicator was added to show when the recommended policies are not in use (see figure 1)

(Figure 1)

When editing an indicated script, you will be able to see which area was changed and use the "Revert to recommended " button to use the Source Defense recommendation (See figure 2).

(Figure 2)

Minor adjustments and bug fixes:

  • Added an indicator to the number of days without any incident in the "Errors on page" widget of the dashboard.
  • Fixed a data error in the dashboard widget that required the user to logout and log back in to continue.

Scripts Inventory

Benefit: To allow the user more insight into the respective scripts on their website, their origin, and what category they are classified into.

From the menu on the left hand side, click on Dashboard

The first matrix contains the script inventory that is collected from our machine learning system every night and generates a snapshot of the scripts found, and their respective category (3rd, 4th, etc).
