MeasureMaster Member News - New tutorial and Next Live Training

Hi MeasureMaster,

hope you are well. Measurement is always developing and I also try to keep on learning. That's why I have been experimenting more the past few weeks, but sometimes it's also good to go back to the basics. Yesterday, for instance, I was interviewed for the Social Media Examiner podcast and it's interesting to explain Analytics to the listeners, who are not total MeasureGeeks. The podcast doesn't come out till mid-August, but it forced me to refine my thinking and explanation. A good exercise.

What's new in MeasureMasters?
Just a few weeks ago I've done an updated tutorial on the implementation of Google Optimize on a website. Now there is already a new code that makes implementation easier, so I've updated the approach and recorded a new tutorial for you

Hope everything is good on your side. I’ve been deep into organizing our MeasureSummit and added some great names on our list of speakers for the September event. It’s amazing how some big names in the industry know about MeasureSchool and wanting to join the Summit. More on the summit in a bit.

What's new in MeasureMasters?
I had this request for a tutorial laying around for a while: How can I track Checkboxes, Dropdown menus, and other select boxes with GTM? To be honest, there is no easy solution as it involves a bit of knowledge of CSS and JavaScript, but in this tutorial, I’m going to break it down for you and have some handy JavaScript that should make your life easier.

MeasureMaster Member News - Replay: Facebook Ads - The data-driven Way

Hi MeasureMaster,

it was great seeing some of you LIVE yesterday for our Training with Ian Lenny on Facebook Ads - the data-driven Way. Unfortunately, the tech crashed on me minutes before we were scheduled to go live (thank you Skype), but we quickly found a replacement in Zoom. The audio quality on Ians side was thus not perfect, but that doesn't distract from the great content.

What new in MeasureMasters?

MeasureMaster Member News - Big Query Course done and next MM Live Training

Hi MeasureMaster,

still slowly working on putting together MeasureSummit - I've been reaching out to some potential speaker and was able to convince Jeff Sauer, Julius Fed, Ben Collins and Yehoshua Coren to pass on their wisdom... Exciting to have them on.

What new in MeasureMasters?
I was able to finish recording the BigQuery Getting Started course and it's not completely available for your viewing pleasure. We now have these lessons available in the course:

MeasureMaster Member News - New course: Big Query for Marketers

I hope you are doing well and enjoying the rising temperatures (unless you are in the southern hemisphere). We've been actively working on MeasureSummit, which we hope to launch in September.

Ever since our sales data to BigQuery pipeline has been set up, I've been playing more and more with BigQuery. The feedback on our previous BigQuery lessons was quite encouraging, so I started building out a Course. MeasureMaster Member News - Big Query Cloud Functions Pipeline for your Webhook data (CRM, Stripe, Trello etc)

This week we had a great win: Our blog post on Calculated Fields in GDS was featured by the GA team on their social media. It doesn’t happen too often (for us) so I’m glad they recognized us. Thanks to MeasureMaster Jochen Setzer who wrote this post for us.

What's new in MeasureMasters?
I’m excited to release our new Big Query connector. I have been using it for some months now and it has been a great help pumping data from our Shopping Cart System (ThriveCart) into Big Query and use it as a source in Google Data Studio.

It works by building a Cloud Function and Big Query Table on the Google Cloud Platform (free, but you have to sign up with your Credit Card). And then using Big Query to transform our data and make it usable in Data Studio.

I have included 3 videos to help you get started.
