Programmer's Music is back online!

Due to unexpected changes in one of the YouTube libraries that Programmer's Music uses as a dependency, we are experiencing an issue with the video player across the site.

We have implemented an interim solution that will allow you to use the site for now with a reduced functionality while we work on a proper solution to tackle the issue at hand.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your support!

Happy New Year!

It's 2020! The year of hope and excitement. We are at or soon to be at the intersection of many key technological advancements and environmental sustainability approaches. Hope each one of us will try to connect technology with environment to save forthcoming generations of humans and animals. This lead us to think what can we do to help? The answer appears to be simple - focus. We, at Programmer's Music, will help our Developer 🖥 and Data Science 🔬 communities to be more productive at work and with their side project, which help them advance either their or their organisation's vision. Who knows one of them might end up changing the world 🌍 for good. 🤔

There it is - the power of small changes and habits that in turn can lead to significant outcomes. We believe that if we can stay focused for longer, each one of us can deliver 2x to 6x times more output. We are glad to inform that we are releasing much sought after small enhancement to Programmer's Music 🎧 as a new year gift to YOU, who is working hard to make this world a better place.

What's New ❤️ with Programmer's Music 🎧

⏲ Work Timer

You asked for a customisable timer as many of you employ different time management techniques and not just Pomodoro. So now you have a customisable timer where you can customise focus time and break time separately. Our playlists will continue to play and notify when the set time finishes. Even if you change tracks, set timer will continue to countdown, so you don't have to reset it after changing a track!

🔔 - Notifies the start of the timer

🔔🔔 - Notifies the end of the timer

❌⏲ No timer

Well, where there is a timer, there is a need to stop it or completely ignore it. So there you have it, ability to completely disable the timer and lose yourself in the music space continuum. And when the time is right, enable it to pull you out of it. 🤨

🔊 Volume

You asked for a separate volume control for Programmer's Music playlist, instead of the system volume control. You now have got a local volume control!

⏭ Skip track

We know that you like total control, so we have now enabled a 'Skip Track' control for all our playlist. Skip the music that doesn't resonate with you without affecting your work timer!

🎶 More Music 🎹🎺🎻🎷

Over next 30 days, we will be adding tons of new tracks to each of our existing playlists and add a few new genres to hit the target of 200 hours of music! Here is the Google Form for you to submit your favourite tracks or playlists if you want to contribute. Even if tracks are from Spotify or Soundcloud, add them and we will try our best to include it here.

📊 Summary of focused hours 🧪

If you are a fan of Programmer's Music and a regular listener then you will now see how many hours of focused work you have done till date. It's experimental, but if you like it, then we will make it permanent.

That's all! Hope you'll enjoy new minor enhancements. Let us know what you think.

Thank you for using Programmer's Music and have a fabulous 2020 ahead!

🖖
