Approve Team & Data Check Screen Upgrades

Approving Team & Data Check change requests now got even easier. We have upgrades these screens with a new look and feel and have improved the workflow along the way.

Improvements include:

  • Ability to approve all requests within a single screen. No need to drill down into each Manager to approve the change requests.
  • Approve & Decline buttons are inline within each row
  • Grid filters allow you to find specific groups if you have a large number of requests
  • For those with 'Combined Team & Data check', you will find all your requests in one table to approve or decline.

System Timeout Limit Is Now Configurable

The system timeout previously was hard-coded to be 20 minutes; this is now a configurable setting and the System Administrator can set this in the Security Settings step.  The setting you choose will apply across your whole site.

Copy Live to Test Upgrades

In the Copy Live to Test step the compulsory requirement to reset the passwords in the test site has been removed. The only compulsory field in this process now is the email address reset.

We do encourage you to not change passwords in this process as it can mean you have a version of your data with weak passwords that are consistent to every user.

Currency/Exchange Rate Upgrades

The look and feel of the Currency/Exchange Rate step has been updated, along with calculations to reduce the amount of data entry needed.

Now you only need to enter each exchange rate conversion to your default (i.e. the first column); the system then uses this data to calculate the remaining cells. For example, if you tell the system GBP to AUD and NZD to AUD, the system can work out GBP to NZD.

This will reduce the amount of data entry and any mismatch of rates.

Team Check Report Update

We have updated the Team Check report to show individuals with either a blank previous or new manager (previously any change to an employee’s team where the new manager was unknown would not show on the report).

Password Security Settings

An exciting new feature that is now in your hands is the password security settings.

This new screen will allow you to set the password security yourself instead of sending having to contact Pivot Support.

There are validation messages that will appear if you choose settings below the minimum requirements.

Please see the Password security options article in the Pivot Support Centre for more information.

Standardisation of Date Formats Across Currencies

If you have multiple currencies switched on, the date fields followed the culture of the currency, e.g. if an employee was set to use USD the date would show as 7/30/2019 and could cause confusion. We’ve now standardised all date formats to DD MMM YYYY (e.g. 30 Jul 2019).

This will not impact the date format that you import, this remains the same.
