## MCP server (AI agent access)

AnnounceKit has an official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so AI assistants and agents
(Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible client) can operate the changelog directly:

- Hosted endpoint: https://mcp.announcekit.app/mcp - add it as a remote/custom MCP connector,
  then log in and approve (OAuth; no token copying). Manage under Settings > Connected apps.
- Local (stdio): `npx announcekit-mcp` with an API token in ANNOUNCEKIT_TOKEN (Node.js 22+).
  Tokens (ak_pat_...) are created under Settings > API Tokens with read or write scope.
- What agents can do: list/read/draft/update/publish/schedule posts; read feedback; create,
  comment on, and reply to feature requests; read the roadmap and add items or statuses;
  read post stats and NPS.
- Safety model: read + create/update/publish only. No delete, account, or billing actions.
  Tokens act at the creating member's role and can be revoked any time.
