⚠️ IMPORTANT: Upcoming SK transaction-based compliance reports

As you may be aware, the SLGA will be changing compliance reporting requirements within the month.

The data expectations will also be much higher. Namely:

  • All SK cannabis products need barcodes
  • You cannot have duplicate barcodes

If a cannabis product is missing a barcode, the SLGA may flag your compliance submission and ask for corrections.

In order to find which products do not have barcodes, we recommend you export your product list as a CSV, sort by the barcode field, and add barcodes to each.

EDIT: Greenline's new SK reporting format will be getting released over the next few days.

👋 Sep 28, 2021 product updates

Features

  • New BC provincial purchase order template can be imported into Greenline purchase orders.
  • Added filters on the Dashboard discount list to help retailers.

Quality of life

  • Greenline POS will now better connect with Moneris ICT-250 and Moneris Core (Desk/Move 5000) devices even in spotty internet connections.
    • For Moneris Core devices, we highly recommend everyone update their device software (please contact Moneris for support).
  • Restricted certain inventory log type changes based on +/- values to better match provincial regulator expectations.

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue where some recurring discounts may show up 6 hours early on integration platforms.
  • Fixed an issue where orders cancelled on WooCommerce sometimes showed up as "completed" on Greenline.
  • Fixed an issue where gift card discounts did not show on the financial overview report.

👋 Sep 14, 2021 product updates

Quality of life releases

  • If a matching barcode cannot be found when scanning on the POS, there will now be a warning popup that stays on-screen that provides more information and blocks further scanning until acknowledged. This will reduce cases where budtenders think they've scanned something (the scanner will still beep) into the cart when the software didn't add anything.

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue where if a Moneris Core (Desk 5000 or Move 5000) device has the "Print on terminal" setting turned off, the completed sale was not picked up on Greenline POS.
  • Fixed an issue where adjusting a non-cash sale to cash didn't update the shift float.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dashboard parked sale details popup didn't display accurate totals.

Notes

  • Our team has been hard at work at identifying edge cases where sales might get dropped between various payment terminals and the iPad. Customers can expect more stability-related updates over the next several weeks.

👋 Aug 31, 2021 product updates

Quality of life releases

  • (Web POS) Improved performance when loading parked sales
  • (Dashboard) Performance improvements when bulk-importing hundreds of products into an audit

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue where long location names were cut off on the dashboard sales filters.
  • Fixed an issue where sales made during offline mode might not sync to our servers when the internet connection was re-established.
  • Fixed an issue where the location name may not show up on the Dashboard customers list.

Notes

  • Saskatchewan will be running their new compliance reports with a select group of beta customers. The report will be rolled out in-full a month afterwards.

Reminder: New Vapour Products Tax (VPT) Coming to Saskatchewan September 1st

Effective on September 1, 2021 Saskatchewan will be implementing a new Vapour Products Tax that will affect Cannabis retailers.

The VPT is a 20% tax that will replace the current PST on required products after August 31, 2021 (goods are only subjected to either VPT or PST but never both).

What Products Fall Under This New Tax Group?

Vaping accessory products such as batteries or parts.

Please reach out to your Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority representative for further clarification on this.

How do I change the taxes of affected products?

Greenline has added a new tax group called: VPT (Saskatchewan) that can be added through your Dashboard by going to Settings> Taxes > Add Tax Group > Selecting VPT (Saskatchewan).

Once this is enabled, simply update the tax field of related products in your product list to include this new tax.

All vendors are required to be registered with the Ministry of Finance as a VPT Licensed Vendor. The application is available here.

👋 Aug 17, 2021 product updates

Features

  • For retailers in Saskatchewan, Greenline now supports the new VST vape tax.

Quality of life releases

  • Added a tooltip on audits that lets users know if which products were activated, undeleted, or inventory-tracked since the audit started. These products will need a new audit.
  • Added a "Online discrepancies" filter to the dashboard sales list to find sales from e-commerce platforms that may not have provided accurate prices or taxes.

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue where Moneris Core terminals sent unexpected signals to Greenline, resulting in transactions being lost.
  • Fixed an issue where Moneris Core terminals resulted in an app crash if the internet was intermittent or disconnected in the middle of a transaction.
  • Fixed an issue where multi-location prices were not displayed correctly on Weedmaps
  • Fixed an issue where Birchmount gift card PIN codes could not start with "0"
  • Fixed an issue where the "location" of signup for customers was not showing all the time on the Dashboard customers list.

👋 Aug 3, 2021 product updates

Quality of life releases

  • When configuring Merrco for each POS device on the dashboard, filling in the "Merrco API auth key" is no longer needed

  • Fixed an issue where the product list options menu was cut off
  • Fixed an issue where the automatic sales prices were not displayed correctly on the POS product list (cart calculations were not affected)

Coming up

  • For retailers in Saskatchewan, we are working on developing the new transaction-based compliance reporting format. Stay tuned for details.

Billing email issues

Some customers are experiencing challenges where they receive an email saying that their subscription has been cancelled after not inputting a credit card.

We are aware of the issue and are working with Chargebee to resolve it as soon as possible.
