Discord verification is here!

Good news! We now fully verify Discord actions on our platform. This means a user will need to ensure they have joined the Discord server and then verify the action before receiving entries. Prior to this, we did not validate all entries to Discord servers, so this is a big improvement and will ensure even greater engagement. We will also display the username of the Discord user within your giveaway entry data for each campaign you run.

As part of this change, we have also revised our Pricing and removed the "Join Discord Server" step from our Free plan effective immediately. This does not impact giveaways that are currently still running. We appreciate this may be disappointing to some of our users, however in order to continue improving our platform and support the time involved in developing such features, we feel our Premium plan is a very competitive offering. This also represents the first time in 2 years in which we have made any changes to our Free plan that involves a feature removal - so far, we have only added features to the Free plan since it's inception.

TikTok actions are here!

We have introduced new TikTok actions for those of you who have TikTok profiles and want to increase follower counts and engagement to your profiles.

You can add the step to either your new or existing giveaways at any time, and these actions are currently available on all plans including the Free subscription.

New Help & Documentation Site

We've upgraded our help and documentation website to make it easier for you to find help and get answers to using GiveLab.

We're still adding more articles and content day by day, but it's a huge step forward from before.

You can check out the new help site here.

Change to Twitter permissions we request

Thanks to welcome changes by Twitter to their API, we now no longer need to request as much account access from users entering your giveaway.

Previously, in order for us to verify entries by users on Twitter, we needed numerous access permissions, however Twitter forced the use of full read/write access to user accounts. This meant that when someone linked a Twitter account to our service, a long list of access permissions were requested.

We now only require read access thanks to the changes by Twitter, meaning users will likely be more inclined to link their Twitter accounts moving forward.

Yearly billing

We have introduced yearly billing for subscription plans. By paying yearly, you receive approximately 17% discount vs paying monthly. You can check out the new pricing option here.

Revoke Entries

Good news! You can now revoke any entries you do not wish to accept into your giveaway from the "Entries" tab within your giveaways. You can do this during, and after the giveaway has ended, and these entries will be excluded from the winner picking pool.

Upgrade to Entry and User data lists

Big news! We've made a pretty huge upgrade to data lists available under your campaigns, including for entry data and user data.

We have now introduced advanced tables, including sorting of entries, filtering by entry steps and a search function to make sorting through data and finding winners easier than ever. Alongside that, you'll be able to export a CSV of any data selected in the table view.

Overhaul to entry flow and login for users

Big news for today - we have released a major overhaul to the way users enter giveaways, and login/create accounts.

Previously to today, users were asked to register using a social media account or email address/password before then entering steps in a giveaway. Though for the majority of users this was a convenient way to enter a giveaway quickly and easily, it also created a "block" for some users who didn't necessarily want the hassle, or don't wish to connect social media accounts whatsoever.

Starting today, users can now enter a giveaway by simply providing their First/Last Name and Email Address. They will still be asked to connect social media profiles for any steps that require validation (Twitter, Twitch etc), but they will no longer be required to set a password and have a "GiveLab account". Additionally, you have a choice as to which social login buttons are shown on a giveaway which you can define in the Create Giveaway flow under "Customization" (Premium and Business only).

Performance & Reliability Improvements

We have been working hard to squash bugs and increase performance over the last 1-2 weeks, and we're now in a much better place than ever.

We have rectified a number of small issues and bugs reported by end users and giveaway organizers. Alongside this, we have made performance improvements to our infrastructure which is showing significant gains to the responsiveness of our platform.

Over the coming weeks, we will be increasing validation checks across additional platforms to ensure entries are legitimate.

Cryptocurrency step has been added!

We've introduced a fairly straightforward cryptocurrency step, which allows anyone looking to run a cryptocurrency giveaway easily collect wallet addresses from entrants.

You'll find the step labelled "Cryptocurrency" within the Create/Edit flow. If you have any further suggestions on steps we can add to support crypto giveaways better, please do reach out to us.
