Add recipient(s) and authorize us to manage their mail—all in one place.
New customers can now seamlessly get their virtual mail account up and running directly within the web application. Once a customer has their virtual mailbox and address, it’s time to make things official and let us know who will be using our service by completing and notarizing a U.S. Postal Form 1583.
Once logged in to their Earth Class Mail account, new customers will be greeted by the all-new, step-by-step ‘Get Started’ process.
Adding a recipient(s)
First, select if they are a business or personal recipient.
Then, complete the details in the form (need to have two forms of ID ready).
🙌 Note: The response to the Social Security Number question will determine the types of identification that can be presented during the notary session.
Next, customers will need to notarize the completed form.
How do the new 'Account Automation' features work?
Account automations created by customers will now apply to all recipients on the account by default, but will still allow users to define individual recipient settings. Once new customers complete the first step of the new 'Get Started' process, they will be taken to setup 'Account Automation' where they can learn more about this feature and accept the default settings or customize their preferences.

Go to the 'Settings' tab (gear icon) > Account Automation
From here, customers can edit the settings on the three (3) default automations that are setup and/or manage individual recipient automation settings.

The updated user interface continues to support the same functionality for requesting shipments with some additional features included and a streamlined process.
From any screen, navigate to:
> MailRoom button in left column (mailbox icon) > Select item(s) you wish to ship
>Click the Ship button at the top, add or select an address, then follow the remaining steps

Open the Earth Class Mail app > At the bottom, click Insights

This new feature provides visibility into key areas of a customer’s account. It makes it simple to track each item’s current status and take any necessary action on each piece of mail.

How to access and take action on Storage Insights data from your mobile app
> Open the Earth Class Mail app > Click the Insights tab > then, Click Storage

> Then select Scan, Archive, Shred, or More to complete the desired action

How to find and use the “My Addresses” feature
In the Earth Class Mail Android app, navigate to:
Settings (gear) icon bottom right > Click on My Addresses at the top to view your saved addresses
> Then, click the share button (on the right) to send address information to others

Applying a Tag on an item in the MailRoom
Applying a Tag to mail items in the MailRoom is now fast and straightforward with the “Apply a tag” extended dropdown menu, plus the addition of new search capabilities—no more scrolling through a long list of tags! We have also enhanced the Tag Search functionality with an option to quickly create a new tag when there is no match for the current search term. Additionally, we’ve redesigned the Tags view in MailRoom to provide a more organized and robust experience.
From the Inbox, navigate to:
Tag Icon on left in the mail item you want to tag > Click Tag Icon >
Choose an existing Tag or quickly add a new one

Customers also have the ability to filter tagged mail items from the Tags section in the MailRoom.

Logout confirmation feature on iOS and Android
Logging out accidentally from the Earth Class Mail app can be very inconvenient for customers, and they could miss out on important notifications. With this new feature launch, if a customer clicks on the "Log Out" button, they will be prompted to confirm it and informed that they will not receive notifications if they log out.

How to set up scanning preferences
From the home screen (MailRoom) in the app, click on the hamburger menu (3 lines) on the top left and select "Settings." Then choose "Scanning" and select your default preferences for color and post-scan options.

Settings > Then choose Scanning > Select default preferences
🙌 Note: In the "Scanning" settings, there is a toggle feature to always "Show scanning options when requesting a scan" that you can turn on and off.

The newly updated swipe menu has labels that add additional colorful visual cues under each action. The action icons are now consistent with the status icons. The easy-to-spot visual cues provide a more user-friendly experience and make it easier to spot errors.

How to edit the sender’s name
Navigate to your inbox and view the item’s detail screen, click on the "More" button at the bottom right. Then select the "Edit sender’s name" option. A pop-up window will open that enables you to edit the sender’s name, and then click OK to confirm it.

Choose your mail item first > Then on bottom right > Select More > Edit sender’s name

How to search for mail items
Click on the search icon and enter a query that contains a combination of text, tag, or recipients to filter out mail items, or select a folder and enter a search query from there.
In the Earth Class Mail Android app, navigate to:
Top right > Search icon > Enter search query
🙌 Note: By default, the search feature will present suggested tags, recipients, and folders.
Click on the "See All" button to open a list of all recipients, all tags, or all folders.
How to clear a search query
Edit or remove search queries by clicking on X next to a tag. If there are no results from the search query entered, it will display no items matching for the query entered.

To add a new lending institution in the Earth Class Mail Android app, navigate to:
Sidebar > Settings > Deposit Accounts > Add Deposit Account
Have a check or bank statement ready with the following information:
Follow the on-screen prompts.
With Earth Class Mail, checks are automatically detected and tagged during the scanning process. To proceed with a check deposit request, navigate to:
Check Detected > Deposit
Follow the prompts to select the preferred bank, bank account, and choice of delivery method - overnight or standard shipping.
🙌 Note: standard shipping is free and overnight shipping incurs an express fee which will be shown on screen.

Easily identify which integrations are active by looking for the green 'Connected' status button in the top-right corner of each integration tile.

Account notifications allow you to customize the frequency and type of email notifications of your incoming mail, packages, and checks. For example, you can receive instant notification for the receipt of a new check, but only receive a daily summary of incoming mail items. Customize your notifications to receive weekly or monthly summaries of any of the categories, such as a month-end summary of all packages received or checks received.
How do I enable account notifications?
From the home screen, navigate to Account Settings > Your Settings > Notifications
Notification types and frequency
In this view, you can customize whether to receive instant email notifications of new items or opt for a summary daily, weekly or monthly.
General email settings
In the General Email Notifications Settings, provide specific instructions on what you want to see in the email notifications such as type of email scans, PDFs, and envelope scans.

What is 2FA?
The 2FA feature is an authentication method requiring an additional verification factor to confirm your user identity and grant account access. Once you take steps to enable 2FA, your account is protected even if your password becomes compromised. Anyone trying to access it will have to provide a unique one-time verification code. The verification code is only available on your designated authentication device.
To enable 2FA on your iOS or Android mobile device, follow the four easy steps below.
Step One:
Update your mobile app to the most current version.
Step Two:
To activate your multi-factor authentication feature, navigate to the
Settings > Security page.
Click on Two-factor authentication.
Step Three:
Choose your authentication method: Text Message (SMS) or an Authenticator App. See the next steps for both options below.
Using the Text Message (SMS) Option:
Click the toggle next to Text message (SMS). Add your mobile phone number or confirm an existing one. This number will be used to send you an SMS with a security code.
A confirmation code will be sent to your mobile device as a text message. Enter the 6-digit code within ten minutes.
Using the Authenticator App Option:
To use an authentication application, click the toggle next to, Authenticator app. Then, scan the QR code with an authenticator app of your choice or set up an authenticator app on the same mobile device you are on; click the code below to copy and paste it on your authenticator app. After successfully adding the token code to the authenticator app, click Continue.
Copy the code generated in the authenticator app into the ECM app and click Continue.
Step Four:
Safeguard the backup code!
Once 2FA is enabled, your backup code will automatically generate and appear on your screen. Please keep this number in a safe place. If you lose access to your verification method, you will need this code to access your account.

Trusted Devices
If you want the convenience of 2FA but don't want to generate a code each time you log in, click on the "Trust this device" checkbox during authentication. Your device will be added to a list of Trusted Devices and you will not be asked for a security code on this device again.
You can always examine the list of Trusted Devices by going to Settings > Security > Trusted devices.

]]>To enable the shipping feature on your Android device, please follow the eight steps below.
Step One: Manage your Shipping
Settings > Shipping Addresses
Step Two: Add new shipping addresses
View the shipping addresses associated with your account or add new ones.
Step Three: Start a shipment
Inbox >
To start a shipment, navigate to your Inbox and select the item to ship.
Step Four: Shipping Cart
Inbox > More... > Add to Shipping Cart
At the bottom of the screen, choose More and then Add to Shipping Cart. To ship multiple items to the same address, repeat this process.
Step Five: Check out from Shipping Cart
Inbox > Shipping Cart
The next screen will show the items ready to ship with a green bar to the left of the item. Next, click on the Shipping Cart button at the bottom of the screen.
Step Six: Confirm shipment(s)
Inbox > Shipping Cart > Ship items
The next screen will confirm the shipments. Click Ship Items.
Step Seven: Select shipping details
The following steps will guide you through the shipping options, and details such as: require a delivery signature, insurance, your choice of carriers - FedEx, UPS, USPS - and customs requirements if you are shipping outside the United States.
Step Eight: Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation screen for final review. Click OK to continue.
Your shipment is now complete!
View Pending Shipments and Processed Shipments from the shipments tab.

To enable 2FA, please follow the six easy steps below.
Step One:
To activate your 2FA feature, navigate to the
Settings > Security tab.
Step Two:
Select the preferred authentication option: SMS code, Authenticator app, or choose both.
Step Three:
If you choose the SMS code, you will receive a one-time verification code delivered to your mobile phone device via an SMS message. First, a mobile number will be required. If you already have an active mobile number in your account, skip to step four.
Step Four:
Once your telephone is verified, you will receive a verification code on your mobile device. Enter the code in the SMS authentication box.
Step Five:
If you want to enable 2FA via an authenticator application (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy), use the QR code on your screen.
Step Six:

New features
The new experience, after upgrading to the new 1.2.7 Version, is the first screen you see sleek and inviting.
The new screen comes in a choice of light or dark mode. The dark mode is useful for reducing eye strain in low light conditions. To activate the dark mode you may need to change your settings in the account. Here are a few quick steps to take:
The Theme will give you two options: Automatic (iOS settings) and Dark mode. Make your selection.

The new Android™ app allows you to set notifications, receive mail remotely, see incoming mail, view scans of the exterior mail, and email the contents in a text-searchable PDF. You also have additional choices to archive, shred, and download to your favorite cloud provider, or store your mail in our warehouse - for an additional fee after 30 days.
We are currently working on adding more features to the Android™ app. Some features such as requesting shipments or check deposits, moving items between folders or another recipient are not available with this release. These features and more will be developed iteratively in the next releases.

We are excited to announce the release of a new Dashboard view for our web application.
The new Dashboard view was designed based on customer feedback and the key services you access most. You can avoid navigating through multiple menus to see and manage your account. With this new top-level view, you can spot your new mail, recent activity, the status of the services you’ve requested, plan details, usage, and the number of items incurring storage fees - all in one place.
The Dashboard is now the default view when you log into your account at earthclassmail.com
Left Navigation Bar
Find your user account information on the top left of the screen. If a triangle is present next to the account #, you can click on it to switch between other users associated with this account. If you navigate away from the Dashboard and wish to come back, it’s the first menu item on the navigation bar.
Top Section - Recent Items in Mailroom
Your most recent mail items appear at the top of the Dashboard. For easy recognition, the large thumbnails show the scanned image of the mail or package. This section gives you a quick snapshot of your most current mail. If you wish to see all items in your mailbox, click on the link: “View all items in Mailroom.”
Middle Section - Service Status
This section is a summary view of your top account activities in one glance: Scans, Deposits, Shipments, Storage/Usage Fees. Detailed information on any of these items is one click away. Just hover over the ellipse to see more choices.
! IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING STORAGE FEES: Mail items will be stored at no cost for 30 days and packages at no cost for 10 days. Monthly storage fees will accrue after those periods. For more information on current storage fees, go here. To avoid storage fees, we recommend viewing your account before the end of each month and shred unwanted mail items and ship out any stored packages.
Bottom Section - Account Summary and Address(s)
In the previous user interface, you would have to navigate several menus to manage your account. Now it comes right up after login!
Right Activity Bar
Your recent activity is now showcased on the Dashboard under Activity. You’ll be able to see all your information from new scans to account deposits.
