Subscription Preview in Salesforce

Sales processes often involve multiple rounds of back and forth with customers before agreeing on a final set of products, services, and prices. To make this process as quick and simple as possible for your prospect and sales team, the Chargify to Salesforce integration offers Subscription Previews. 

The subscription preview serves as just that - a preview of what is being purchased. This preview can act like a quote and be sent to your prospect or customer so they can directly see the products and services, quantities and prices being discussed. This preview can be updated as many times as needed as you move through negotiations. Once the opportunity is Closed Won in Salesforce, the subscription is automatically created in Chargify.

Salesforce Coupon Creator

Your sales team now have the ability to create coupon / discounts directly in Salesforce!  This added functionality will give your sales team the ability to create coupons on the fly, without having to interface with the Chargify application. Any coupons created in Salesforce, will automatically be synced back to Chargify. 

Additionally, your Customer Success team can also benefit from this added feature, by creating discounts for your customers to help with potential churn.

Account Updater with BlueSnap

Credit Cards numbers change all the time, regardless of the reason (ie. expiry dates), these updates impact your ability to successfully bill on time. Last month we announced the launch of BlueSnap, a payment gateway specializing in global payments. As this integration continues to expand to meet our customers' needs, we are excited to announce that the Account Updater feature has been added. 

The Account Updater from BlueSnap enables card information changes (such as expiration data changes, account number changes, account closures, and more) to be conveniently and automatically updated, reducing failed payments and the need to contact each customer directly. 

With Account Updater, you can maintain customer satisfaction of customer service due to non-payment while minimizing costs associated with collections and manual account updates. The BlueSnap Account Updater service is supported for American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa cards.

NetSuite Integration Enhancements

To make sure you continue to have the data you need where you need it most, we continue to make investments in our NetSuite integration. These enhancements include moving onto the latest released NetSuite API (20.1), enabling several functionality enhancements to streamline your business processes. 

Our latest enhancements include the ability to use custom forms in addition to the out-of-the-box forms for creating sales orders. You can also now choose the specific bank account and specific AR accounts used by the integration when recording refunds. 

In addition, NetSuite Payment Instrument functionality is now available. These latest enhancements add specific granularity and control as you sync data back and forth between NetSuite and Chargify.

Salesforce Integration - Data Validation Report

A new report has been added to our Salesforce integration allowing you to map out which records will be created or matched before you integrate your Chargify environment with your Salesforce environment. This new Data Validation Report can be run before the integration to avoid any hiccups prior to committing to a permanent change. The records included in the report for matching are the following:  

  • Customer
  • Products
  • Components
  • Coupons

Chargify + BlueSnap Integration

As you continue to grow and expand, having access to the right payment gateways is key. To support your payment needs, Chargify has partnered with BlueSnap - a payment gateway specializing in global payments.  

The Chargify and BlueSnap integration allows you to process credit card and ACH transactions in the following initial currencies:

  • USD 
  • CAD 
  • GBP 
  • AUS 
  • ILS 
  • EUR

The next step in the integration is to include the BlueSnaps Account Updater functionality, which proactively keeps credit card number and expiration dates up to date.

Invoice Clarity in Salesforce

Having a complete view of your customers in a single location is a necessity for B2B SaaS companies. For those companies who hold Salesforce as that single source of truth, we are continually enhancing our Chargify to Salesforce integration. The most recent update allows administrators to see and action on their customers invoices directly in Salesforce. These actions include: 

  • Process a payment
  • Void the invoice
  • View and distribute the invoices' public URL
  • Refund the invoice

Cancel and Reactivate Subscription Groups

The Subscription Group functionality within Chargify is evolving to make it easier for you to process changes for all Subscriptions within a group. The first update which has been released is the ability to cancel and / or reactivate all Subscriptions within a specific group.

Updates to Renewal Email Timings

Making sure your customers know when their trials are ending and paid subscriptions are going renew is now easier with some updates we have made to our renewal email notifications. With these updates, it is now possible to configure the timing and email content for you trial subscription notification. It is also now possible to configure the timing of subscription renewal emails based on the product your customer is subscribed to. This updated timing functionality is especially useful for companies who must follow state mandated renewal standards.

Improved Subscription Management in SalesForce

We understand a swivel chair integration between your billing and CRM systems is less than ideal. Because of this we are continually investing in our new (v3) Chargify to SFDC integration and are making it easier than ever to manage your subscriptions directly in SalesForce. Recent updates allow administrators to complete the following directly in Salesforce:

  • Initiate Cancellations
  • Reactivate Subscriptions
  • Clear Pending Cancellations
  • Put Subscriptions on Hold and Resume them
  • Give / Deduct Service Credits
