Many of our customers today are leveraging the use of Subscription Groups to consolidate invoicing for their customers with multiple subscriptions. In using the Subscription Index within the UI, we are excited to announce an added filter for this subscription type!

Our Product Team has added the ability to filter between Subscription Type, now supporting three types under the 'More Filters' dropdown:

  • All
  • Individual Subscription
  • Subscription Groups

This added filter will provide your customer-facing teams a quick glance on the health of your subscription groups leading to faster turnaround time on decisions and inquiries.

Subscription Index UI Enhancements

Managing your subscriptions in Chargify should be as easy and seamless as possible, from the sign-up to look-up of information on your customer base. As we look to continually enhance our UI look and feel, many of our customers recently sat down with our Product Design Team to provide feedback on how we can improve the Subscription Index UI.

Today, we are excited to announce that we have made several enhancements that will delight our users through a more simplistic design. We have added new filtering options with an improved search capability in addition to a new 'Product' column.

Product Catalog UI Enhancements

After receiving valuable feedback from our customers, we are excited to bring 3 efficiency-boosting Product Catalog UI enhancements that our Billing Team has been working on! The following enhancements provide a more intuitive way of managing your Product Families, Products, Components or Coupons. It also includes converted currency amounts shown during price updates and changes.

First, the Product Families view are now listed from newest to oldest. We heard from our customers that your newer Product Families are the ones you work with the most, so this will cut back from having your team navigate to the bottom of the list or several pages in to get to what you're looking for.

Second, after editing a Product, Component, or Coupon on the Products Page, this page will not return the user to the same place they left off. You will no longer be returned to the main Products Page after submitting an edit.

Third, converted amounts are now provided when configuring definitive pricing. This will save the user from having to check fx rates outside of Chargify.

Enhanced Transactions Report Now Available in General Availability

The enhanced Transactions Report is now live and available for all Chargify users. The updated transactions page allows you to select a variety of filters and column selections, displaying the following items in a single page:

  • Invoices
  • Payments
  • Credits
  • Refunds

This page has a user-friendly design offering the ability to customize your view, in addition to a separate tab for each transaction type, enabling you to segment and focus on specific transactions. In addition, the page offers an export of the transactional data with additional attributes if needed.

Component Dunning

Subscription businesses are prone to failed customer payments from time to time. Having an effective dunning strategy can help prevent churn and is important in resolving customer's failed payments swiftly. Within Chargify, you have the flexibility in tailoring your communication approach, in addition to the pre-built templates, for your customers entering the dunning process.

Today we are excited to announce a new feature added to our dunning functionality. Introducing mid-period component dunning! This new feature allows for failed mid-period component allocations payment to move a subscription into dunning. This allows your customer and team to be alerted to any issues with a mid-period allocation payment.

Customizable Emails for Upcoming Renewals

Without a bulletproof subscription renewal process, your customers can experience unexpected charges, questionable renewal tactics, and ultimately churn. To better delight your customers, Chargify's renewal emails keep your customers in the know of upcoming subscription renewals, as well as the added option to update/change their payment profile and plan(s).

We are happy to introduce new customizable upcoming renewal options for these email communications. This new feature allows you to customize renewal email timing, in addition to specifying which product price points an email should be triggered on.

Understanding your data and communicating it clearly to your key stakeholders is crucial in making impactful decisions across the organization. Our Product Team is continually working on enhancing charting functionality within Chargify Business Intelligence. We are excited to announce new chart settings, additional data handling, and some improvements to Heatmaps.

Chart Settings
We have added additional settings options to our charts, so you can further customize how your data is presented. The settings available will depend on the visualization type that has been selected.

  • Legend - You now have the ability to turn the legend on and off as well as deciding its placement on the chart.
  • Grids - The vertical and horizontal grids can now be turned on and off.
  • Metric Chart title - The metric chart now also has titles and subtitles in line with all the other visualization types.

New Filter Options via API for Invoicing

Last month we released a new endpoint to send invoices via API to mimic the behavior of the "Send Invoice" button within the UI. This endpoint enables you to programmatically deliver ad-hoc invoices as well as the re-send of auto-generated invoices, thus giving you control of when to send out an invoice.

As we continue adding new API endpoints, we are excited to announce new filter options on exposed event types on an invoice. You can now filter for multiple event types on an invoice (e.g. issue_invoice, apply_credit_note, refund_invoice) using a comma separated list. Previously, you were able to filter by only 1 invoice event.
